Statement

If [ilmath]S\subseteq\mathbb{R} [/ilmath] is a non-empty set of real numbers that has an upper bound then[1]:

  • [ilmath]\text{Sup}(S)[/ilmath] (the supremum of [ilmath]S[/ilmath]) exists.
